This statistic presents the different Spanish autonomous communities based on the percent of the population that purchased books in 2024. According to a survey conducted between March and December of the referenced year, the Community of Madrid recorded the highest percent of book buyers. It was followed by the Basque Country, a region where around 60 percent of the population participating in the study stated they had purchased books during the referenced year. Catalonia completed the podium.
