Book sales revenue in Spain reached a peak of 3.190 billion euros in 2008, subsequently starting a downward trend that ended in 2013; the year in which book sales revenue in Spain had fallen by approximately 1.000 billion euros compared to the figure recorded in 2008. However, it should be noted that since 2014 the domestic book trade in the country has experienced growth of approximately 860 million euros in its revenue, reaching close to 3.040 billion in 2024.
