This chart illustrates the results of no-confidence motions filed in response to the use of Article 49.3 since the beginning of Macron's second term in France, that is, between May 14, 2022, and October 20, 2023, based on the number of favorable votes from deputies by political group. Between May 2022 and October 2023, a total of 15 no-confidence motions were filed in response to the government's use of Article 49.3. The no-confidence motion that received the highest number of favorable votes from deputies was the motion on March 20, 2023, supported by the LIOT group. A total of 278 deputies from various political groups voted for this motion, so only nine votes were missing for the motion to be adopted and the government to be overthrown. Article 49.3 had been used at that time in connection with the pension reform.
