This chart shows the attitudes of the French in 2015 regarding the reduction of fossil fuel imports not originating from the European Union. Nearly five out of ten French people agreed ("completely" or "somewhat") that such a reduction in fossil fuel imports could be beneficial to the EU economy. More than half of the respondents supported the idea that reducing fossil fuel imports could increase the security of the EU's energy supply.
