The average price (including promotions) is calculated from 38 fast-moving consumer goods, both food and non-food (hygiene and cleaning), including low-cost, private label, and national brands, from September 2021, month by month. These prices come from checkout data from more than 5,500 hypermarkets and supermarkets in France.
Since September 2021, the average basket has experienced an increase, rising from 102.33 euros to 123.42 euros in February 2025. Since 2021, France has indeed experienced exceptional inflation rates.
