According to a survey carried out in the UK in 2024, the * of teenage girls and young women between the ages of 11 and 21 believed there was too much discussion about women's bodies in the media. This was an increase compared to six years ago. The same survey found that ** percent of 11-16-year-olds had received negative comments from other people about their appearance. With so much outside pressure, it is unsurprising that a of girls and young women lack confidence in their appearance.
