Between 2022 and 2024, of the patient-reported complaints received by a UK register for aesthetic practitioners, roughly ** percent of patients had an infection following their liquid Brazilian butt lift (BBL)*. Some ** percent of patients also suffered from sepsis and as of November 2024, one patient has died from a non-surgical BBL. Nearly all patients who had complications were treated by NHS services, while ** percent were admitted to hospital for more than ** hours.
