The Tankan survey, conducted among business enterprises in Japan from May to June 2025, revealed that the Diffusion Index of employment conditions was *** percentage points. A negative DI indicates that the share of businesses experiencing insufficient employment was higher than that of businesses reporting excessive employment. 

The Tankan survey stands for the Short-Term Economic Survey of Enterprises in Japan. It is conducted once in three months with the aim of providing an accurate picture of the business trends of enterprises in Japan.
