In 2021, the incidence rate of hepatitis B in children and adolescents worldwide was roughly 418.7 cases per 100,000 population. The age group between 15 and 19 years was affected the most, with an incidence rate of 620 per 100,000 population. The global incidence of hepatitis B among youth in 2021 was at least three times lower than in 1990 across age groups below 15 years.
