The European Union was the largest non-state contributor to the UN system in 2023, donating around 3.5 billion U.S. dollars. The World Bank and the Global Fund, the second- and third-largest non-government donors, earmarked 1.5 billion U.S. dollars and 1.2 billion U.S. dollars, respectively. In 2023, the UN's total revenue from government donors amounted to 10.5 billion U.S. dollars. The U.S. was the largest government contributor to UN revenue in 2023.
