Between 2014 and 2024, two WHO regions experienced a decline in the share of children vaccinated against measles, namely the Americas region and the Western Pacific region. In 2024, the European region had the highest share at 94 percent of children receiving a first dose of the measles vaccines, while in the African region, this share was 71 percent.
