Europe: Share of used cars owned by young people who have a household car by country
According to a July 2024 survey, nearly six out of 10 household cars available to young people under 30 years old in Europe were purchased as used cars. This average differs between some key markets in the region. In France and Norway, over ** percent of young people's household cars were used cars, while the Southern European countries of Spain and Italy had a lower share of used cars compared to new cars.Â
