In 2025, Silicon Valley was the area in the United States where building a data center was the most expensive. Additionally, data center construction costs in Silicon Valley increased at a faster pace than in other areas of the country since 2019. New Jersey was not far behind, as it also had relatively high costs. Meanwhile, Phoenix, Atlanta, and Dallas were the cheapest cities to build data centers.
