In 2024, Romania's modern retail stock reached *** million square meters after delivering ** square meters of new supply. It consisted of ** new retail schemes and six extensions of existing properties. Among the ** new spaces, four were the traditional format of a shopping center, accounting for ** percent of the total volume — two newly launched shopping centers and two extensions. The rest of the volume belonged to retail parks. The two shopping center extensions were in Ploiesti Shopping Center and Plaza M, while the four retail park extensions were in Fashion House Pallady, Prima Shopping Center Sibiu, Lemon Retail Park, and Prahova Value Center.
