In December 2023, the Leviathan gas field in Israel produced 0.9 billion cubic meters (BCM) of natural gas. This was a 5.8 percent increase compared to the previous month. Between October and November 2023, the Tamar gas field experienced a significant drop in production at the start of the Israel-Hamas war, with the lowest output recorded at 0.18 BCM in October. During this time, the operation of the Tamar offshore production rig was suspended as a safety precaution.
