The source adds the following information on the ranking methodology. "The World Economics ESG Index is a composite index derived from the average of the Environmental, Social and Governance Impact Indexes".
Environmental Impact Index is based on each country’s total carbon and methane emissions.Â
Social Index was calculated from equal weightings of health, education and poverty.
Governance Index is based on equally based on rule of law, press freedom, political rights and Corruption Perceptions.

Those scoring ** and above were awarded an "A" grade, with Denmark having scored the highest overall score, reaching ****.
