This subclass includes: preservation of fish, crustaceans and molluscs: freezing, deep-freezing, drying, cooking, smoking, salting, pickling, processing into preserves, etc.; manufacture of products from fish, crustaceans and molluscs: cooked fish, fish fillets, fish roe, caviar, caviar substitutes, etc.; production of fish meal as food for humans or as animal feed; production of non-edible flours and extracts of fish and other aquatic animals; activities of specialized vessels for fish processing and preservation; processing of seaweed.
This subclass does not include: processing and preservation of fish on fishing vessels; processing of cetaceans on land or on fishing vessels designed for that purpose; preparation of oils and fats from marine animals; preparation of frozen or otherwise preserved prepared fish dishes; preparation of fish soups; preparation of food for immediate consumption on the spot or for take-away and immediate consumption.
