In 2023, a share of investors in Asia and Europe did not believe that ESG funds would yield higher returns compared to other funds, which was a significant barrier to investing in sustainable funds. Another major challenge was that investors were unclear about what ESG funds are invested in and whether they genuinely provide a more sustainable option.
