On July 21, Biden announced he was ending his bid for reelection, later enorsing Kamala Harris as the new Democratic nominee. While the vice president is the presumptive nominee until the Democratic National Convention in August, over one-third of surveyed Americans would like to see someone other than Harris run in Biden's place.
