Following the inaugural presidential debate of 2024, many voters across the country expressed disappointment Biden's performance, arguing that he is no longer fit to serve as president. According to a poll taken in July, over half of Americans thought Biden should step aside and allow another Democrat to run for president, including almost 20 percent of Democrats who thought he should definitely step down.Â
