On July 21, Biden announced on X that he would end his bid for reelection, sending shockwaves across the country. He later endorsed Kamala Harris as the new Democratic nominee. Although the selection process remains uncertain, roughly 50 percent of Americans supported Biden's endorsement of Harris.Â
