According to a 2025 study on the summer travel intentions of Europeans, the plane was the most used mode of transport for summer holiday trips, with ** percent of the sample reporting using it. Personal cars and trains followed in the ranking, being mentioned by ** percent and ** percent of surveyed Europeans, respectively.
