Cruise industry in Europe - statistics & facts
In 2025, one in four global cruise guests came from Europe. The region is one of the largest cruise markets in the world, ranking behind only North America in terms of passenger volume. That year, the number of cruise passengers sourced from Europe totaled almost nine million, the highest figure reported to date. Alongside this record passenger count, the European cruise market’s revenue also hit an all-time high, exceeding 11 billion U.S. dollars in 2025.
