As of July 2023, ** percent of consumers in Germany preferred to purchase a used vehicle at a car dealership. Another ** percent of them preferred to go to a specialized used car dealer, while ** percent of respondents favored consumer-to-consumer in-person transactions. In contrast, the share of survey participants preferring online dealers or C2C purchase was much lower, demonstrating that human, in-person contact remains a crucial part of the used car purchasing process for consumers resident in Germany.
