By the end of 2023, more than ** percent of the top 15 news websites in ** countries worldwide were blocking OpenAI crawlers, and among those with a weekly online reach of ** percent or more, the share blocking these crawlers was as high as ** percent. News sites were overall less likely to block Google's AI crawlers, but again, weekly reach affected the likelihood of them doing so.
