According to a survey conducted in August 2024, **** percent of companies in Japan that offered telecommuting as a work option offered working from home (WFH) arrangements. The share of companies offering remote work more than doubled from 2019 to 2020, as remote work became a common measure to curb the spread of COVID-19 in 2020.
