Original survey question: "Why don’t you want to buy a combustion vehicle?"
Participants selected up to two answers.
Respondents came from national samples from each country. The quota approach was employed to ensure that the sample was representative of gender and age.
*The source conducted 3,000 interviews in France and 800 in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, and the United Kingdom. 66 percent of respondents in Germany, 58 percent of respondents in Austria, 56 percent of respondents in Belgium, 67 percent of respondents in Spain, 62 percent of respondents in France, 73 percent of respondents in Italy, 50 percent of respondents in Norway, 60 percent of respondents in the Netherlands, 57 percent of respondents in Poland, 59 percent of respondents in Portugal, and 63 percent of respondents in the UK intended to purchase a car. These results are a subset of this subset, including respondents who reported not wanting to buy a combustion-powered vehicle. The overall count represents all respondents.
