X/Twitter users on the platform for news in selected countries 2014-2023
According to a survey conducted in early 2023, 14 percent of X (formerly Twitter) users in the United States and Brazil had used the platform in the last week for news. Overall, 13 percent of users in the United Kingdom had also utilized the platform for news. In 2020, X was used by 17 percent of users in the United States and Brazil for news, indicating an overall decline in reliance for news stories over the past three years.
