Between July 2023 and June 2024, nearly 40 percent of network intrusions launched by Iranian nation-state cyber threat actors against other countries targeted the education and research industry. The IT sector ranked second, with 11 percent, followed by government organizations, with seven percent of the detected cyberattacks.
