Price differences between the Paris Region and French provinces 2022
In 2022, overall average prices were *** percent higher in the Paris Region than in the rest of France. However, there were important differences depending on the type of goods. For instance, average transportations prices were only *** percent higher in Paris compared to the French provinces but the average cost for restaurants and hotels were *** percent higher in the French capital city than anywhere else in the country. The most important price difference concerned housing rents, which were **** percent higher in Paris than in the rest of France.
