In December 2022, the monthly retail price inflation of garments, shoes and hats in China ranged at 0.5 percent, compared to the same month of the previous year. The inflation rate for clothes has been comparatively stable at a low level over recent months.

The publication of retail price inflation rates has been discontinued by the National Bureau of Statistics of China in the beginning of 2023.
