Political division in the U.S. has seen a surge in recent years, driving the two primary parties further apart. However, it appears that the division does not only exist between the two parties, but also within the Democratic and Republican parties themselves. According to a survey conducted in October 2023, only 16 percent of adults in the United States considered Republicans the more united political party.
