The presidential elections in Venezuela are due on July 13th, 2024. Between July and August 2022, MarÃa Corina Machado from the "Vente Venezuela" opposition party lead the polls ahead of the October 22nd, 2023 primary elections. Machado was a member of the National Assembly of Venezuela and is her second run in the opposition elections. The three main opposition candidates have been prohibited from holding any public office.
