¹ The source looked at the best beaches according to Google Maps and selected the ones that had the best ratings and at least 500 reviews. The selected beaches were then ranked by average rating and number of reviews to create a starting list. To define the most viral beaches on social media, the source looked at Instagram posts and TikTok views using the names of the beaches as #. Where the names included a special character, the naked names or most common names were used.
