In 2021, the natural gas rents in Vietnam accounted for around 0.3 percent of the GDP. This was an increase compared to the year prior. Most of Vietnam's crude oil and natural gas reserves lie offshore, mainly in the Cuu Long and the Nam Con Son basins.
