Of Asian countries, China is investing the most in future gas infrastructure. As of 2021, spending on planned gas power plants, pipelines, and terminals came to 130.6 billion U.S. dollars. LNG terminals received the most funding, at over 56 billion U.S. dollars. By comparison, Vietnam came in second, with its gas infrastructure investment totaling 58.7 billion U.S. dollars.
