The source defined COVID-19 booster acceptance as the willingness to receive or as having received at least one booster dose when available. Booster hesitancy included respondents who reported not receiving at least one booster of the COVID-19 vaccine, or being unsure or disagreeing with the question if they would get a booster shot when available.
The sample included 1,000 interviewees from the 23 countries surveyed (Brazil, Canada, China, Ecuador, France, Germany, Ghana, India, Italy, Kenya, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, Poland, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States)

As of July 2022, nearly 99 percent of adults in China reported a willingness to receive or had already received a COVID-19 booster vaccine. In contrast, Russia had the largest share of adults who had not received or were unwilling to get a booster shot against COVID-19, as stated by approximately 29 percent of respondents. This statistic shows the percentage of adults worldwide who received or were willing to receive a booster shot against COVID-19 and those who hesitated or had not received it as of July 2022, by country.
