The source defined COVID-19 acceptance as the willingness to receive or as having received at least one dose when available. Vaccine hesitancy included respondents who reported not receiving at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, or being unsure or disagreeing with the question if they would get the vaccine when available.
The sample included 1,000 interviewees from the 23 countries surveyed (Brazil, Canada, China, Ecuador, France, Germany, Ghana, India, Italy, Kenya, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, Poland, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States)

As of July 2022, around 98.3 percent of adults in India reported receiving or being willing to receive at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. In the United States, the share of adults who were immunized or were willing to get vaccinated against COVID-19 was roughly 80.2 percent, while nearly 20 percent were hesitant to receive the vaccine. This statistic shows the percentage of adults globally who received or were willing to receive at least one vaccine dose against COVID-19 and those who hesitated or refused it as of July 2022, by country.
