A survey on the consumer perspective of the halal industry conducted in March 2023 in Indonesia found ** percent of respondents from upper income level always checked the ingredients list before purchasing products with halal logo. The same survey also found that nearly half of total respondents sometimes checked the ingredients list of a product that already had a halal logo.
