A survey on the consumer perspective of the halal industry conducted in Indonesia in March 2023 found that around ** percent of male and ** percent of female respondents always checked the ingredients list before purchasing products with halal logo. The same survey also found that nearly half of total respondents sometimes checked the ingredients list of a product that already had a halal logo.
