The total operating income of the banking industry in Italy increased overall between 2014 and 2024, albeit with some fluctuations. After experiencing a decline to its lowest value in 2020, at around 69.67 billion euros, it experienced a significant increase in the following years. In 2024, it amounted to approximately 103.52 billion euros, which was the highest value during this period.
