A global study held in 2024 found scientists were the most trusted source of news about climate change in every country featured in the report, although just 59 percent of Japanese respondents trusted scientists in this respect compared to more than 70 percent of respondents in other markets. Among the least trusted sources were religious leaders, celebrities, and politicians.
