Hiroshima & Nagasaki: U.S. opinion on justification 2020, by gender
75 years after the end of the Second World War, the justification of the United States' atomic attacks on Japan remains a divisive issue. In total, almost 40 percent of U.S. adults in 2020 believed that the United States' actions were correct, while a third believed them to be wrong. When split by gender, over half of men surveyed believed the bombings were the correct course of action, while just over a quarter of women agreed. Men were also more likely to have an opinion on the matter.
