According to a survey conducted in Japan in July of 2022, the majority of the respondents who pay attention to whether the agricultural products they are buying were produced in an environmentally friendly manners, such as without chemical fertilizers or pesticides, stated as a reason for their purchasing decision that they were concerned for the health of the people who eat these products. The second most popular reason for these choices was sympathy for the organic producers' ideals.
