According to a survey conducted in Indonesia in November 2025, around ** percent of respondents who planned on going to visit their families for Eid celebrations in 2026 stated that they preferred to book tickets for those trips via online travel agencies. At the same time, ** percent of respondents chose to come directly to the station or terminal and book tickets there.

Visiting family and friends in hometowns and villages, commonly known as mudik, is an important tradition during the Eid holidays in Indonesia.
