In a 2023 conducted survey on plant-based alternative consumption in Australia, South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria were the leading states open to substituting meat products with plant-based alternatives, with approximately ** percent of consumers agreeing to do so in each state. The lowest rate of willingness to switch to plant-based substitutes was shown in Tasmania, where ** percent of respondents were open to trying alternatives.
