In 2022, the clearance rate in French administrative courts was higher than the European median for second-instance courts but lower for the first-instance and supreme courts. Indeed, the clearance rate in administrative courts of the second instance was *** percent in France, compared to the European median of *** ±è±ð°ù³¦±ð²Ô³Ù.Ìý In addition, a clearance rate exceeding 100 percent means that the court is able to resolve more cases than it has been seized with, and thus the backlog of cases is decreasing. The backlog of cases was therefore greatest in first-instance administrative courts in Europe in 2022.
