According to a survey, the share of respondents who owned a credit card in France had declined in 2021 when compared to 2017. The difference between ownership and usage had also increased, from roughly *** percentage points in 2017 to approximately percentage points in 2021. The report adds that men were more likely than women to own such a payment card in the European country. Gen Z - or the age group 15 to 24 years in this survey - was more likely to own a credit card than their older counterparts.
