Four nuclear BWRs, Kuosheng * and * and Chinshan * and * were in the shutdown phase that year. The *** Advanced Boiling Water Reactors of the Lungmen nuclear power plant, near Taipei, were under construction between 1999 and 2021, but a referendum resulted in their cancellation.
