Potential-growth index for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) is calculated in the form of composite index which is built on indicators of the potential and growth conditions of the enterprises. It consists of four sub-indices: 1. factor dimension 2. attribute dimension 3. operation dimension 4. performance dimension.

Criteria for assessing potential-growth index;
Index point at 0.80 equals very high-growth potential
Index point between 0.70-0.79 equals high-growth potential
Index point between 0.55-0.69 equals average growth potential
Index point lower than 0.55 equals low growth potential

In Thailand, a juristic person and normal person are legal classifications of the ownership of a business. A normal person may operate a business with only one person as the owner, while a juristic person has two or more people. This legal business ownership classification is used for calculating different tax structures for each categorized group.

Citation formats

In the first quarter of 2024, juristic micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Thailand had the highest potential growth index in the accounting and financial statement categories, accounting for around one index points. This was followed by the category of no informal loans, adapting to online businesses, and maintaining a loyal customer base, for which its index point stood at a very high growth potential rate in the country.
